Lava Z50, Android Go Smartphone (Oreo Edition)

Google has launched the Android Go program, which is basically a platform for devices that use low hardware. One manufacturer that supports this program is Lava, which is a smartphone manufacturer from India. The company has just launched a smartphone called Lava Z50 Android Go (Oreo Edition).

As we said, smartphones included in this program will not carry a high hardware specification. Lava Z50 itself comes with 4.5-inch screen that has a resolution FWVGA (854 × 480 pixels) and coated with glass Gorilla Glass 2.5D on it.

As for the engine, the Lava Z50 relies on MediaTek MT6737 chipset which has quad-core processor 1.1GHz and GPU Adreno 304. Because this smartphone runs Android Go Oreo, so it's not a problem even though the RAM of this smartphone is only 1GB and 8GB of internal storage can still expandable up to 128GB using microSD.

For photography purposes, this smartphone carries a 5MP resolution camera on the back that comes with LED flash. As for selfie, there is a 5MP resolution camera on the front which is also equipped with LED flash. For connectivity, this smartphone is equipped with dual-SIM slot that supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b / g / n, and Bluetooth 4.0. Not to forget, 2000mAh battery is also pinned on this smartphone.

The main advantages of Android Go Oreo compared to Android 8.0 Oreo is the efficiency to run on low-end devices smoothly. Coupled with specialized apps that have been optimized for this platform like Google Go and Maps Go that do not require a lot of resources to work.

Armed with low hardware and optimized operating systems, the price of Lava Z50 can be reduced to Rs. 4,400 or about $ 68.74.
